2009 Muddy Awards honor the
Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival
The Cascade Blues Association recently presented its 2009 Muddy Awards and the Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival received major recognition.
- The 2009 Waterfront Blues Festival received the Best Northwest Blues Event of the Year Award.
- Peter Dammann, talent coordinator for the Waterfront Blues Festival, received the Lifetime Achievement Award, CBA's top award.
- Sheldon Phillips, who manages the A&E Front Porch Stage, received the Hurley Award.
- And the Karen Lovely Band's performance at the Waterfront Blues Festival, was named Best Performance of the Year.

Festival's final tally exceeds goal
PORTLAND, Ore. - This year, blues fans donated more than $479,343 at festival gates, which combined with ticket and pass sales meant a total of $573,688 to help fight hunger! In addition, blues fans donated more than 87,577 pounds of food. Read more >
